The Naval Air Systems Command plans to procure radomes and installs in accordance with the AN/APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar for the F/A-18E/F aircraft, Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6038R2/R3. This ECP incorporates the Group B equipment for avionics upgrade in the F/A-18 Lot 27 and the additional Group A Provisions in BLK 2 Aircraft. The AESA prime integrator is The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO. The Navy intends to negotiate the engineering change as a sole source firm fixed price delivery order on the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00019-11-G-0001. The Boeing Company will be responsible for the retrofit incorporation and for the recurring engineering change activities for production radar integration. Award of the BOA was made with authority under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Boeing Company has the requisite radar knowledge, experience, and technical data required to respond to this requirement.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. No phone calls will be accepted. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed effort based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
