SOLE SOURCE AWARD VIA EXTENSION OF CURRENT CONTRACT: It is imperative that a sole source award be extended to Raytheon Corporation through the current contract, SPM500-05-D-BP22, until a successor contract is ready to award (SPM7LX-07-R-0084). This sole source award was initiated to ensure continued coverage and support for the Army Customer Sites while awaiting the award of the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) and Red River Army Depot (RRAD) Industrial Product-Support Vendor (IPV) successor contract initiative. The contract is a long-term contract, currently in its third and final year. All NSNs are available through the primary point of contact, Stephen Heath. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The existing IPV contract provides integrated product support for line-side delivery of replenishment spare parts and related industrial hardware requirement for the maintenance/production lines at Anniston Army Depot and Red River Army Depot (ANAD and RRAD). Under the existing IPV contract 12,875 NSNs are supported, with approximately 75% of the NSNs being supplied by the Government to IPV contractor for integrated support management. The remaining NSNs are managed and sourced by the IPV contractor. It would be in the Governments best interest if this contract was extended from July 27, 2008 through January 26, 2009.
