This is a Special Notice. The U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Vista Outdoor, 1 ATK Way, Anoka, MN 53303, for the acquisition of ammo to be utilized in support of training.

In accordance with FAR 5.207(c) (16) (ii), vendors that feel they can meet the Government's requirements detailed above may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.  The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order.  A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The acquisition will be conducted through the FAR Part 13 "Simplified Acquisition Procedures." A redacted version of the approved Limited Source Documentation is attached to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 332992.  The business size standard is 1250 employees.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation.  A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is not available.  Closing date for submitting a capability statement is August 15, 2021 at 10:30 A.M.
