The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency intends to issue a firm fixed price order to ViaSat for AltaSec KG-250 Encryptors. This is a sole source action with ViaSat and/or its distributors (must be NSA certified) in accordance with FAR 13.5, since they are the only sources capable of providing the required items. The requirement is for 6 each, KG-250's. The NAICS code is 334119.
The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
