A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Raytheon currently is the only source that can provide the above supplies or services and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Government's requirements due to the JSOW incorporating unique hardware and software design elements that cannot be satisfied by commercial off the shelf components. Under FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source, Raytheon, is the only source that has the knowledge, experience and access to the technical data necessary to fulfill the Government's need and meet its requirements within the defined schedule.
Subcontracting opportunities should be sought directly from Raytheon. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
