3.0 SCOPE OF SERVICES The services requested, herein, are for Alachua County Agricultural and Equestrian Center Management Services at 23100 W Newberry Road, Newberry, FL 32669. 3.1 Overview The County is seeking a qualified consultant to provide management services to the Alachua County Agriculture & Equestrian Center (AGEQ). The ideal consultant is expected to have agriculture and equestrian center experience to provide guidance on plans and designs to meet the anticipated needs for event organizers and will be responsible to market and book a variety of fun and creative events at the facility year-round. The AGEQ is a 37-acre facility that includes: 250’ x 150’ covered arena, outdoor arena, warm up arena, 200 horse stalls, 50 RV camping area and midway. There is also an Equestrian Center Maintenance Worker responsible for day-to-day facility maintenance employed by the County. Between the months of January and May, AGEQ is booked each weekend for agricultural and equestrian events. In the months of June through December it emphasizes on recruiting and booking new businesses. An on-site office will be provided to the selected consultant. The facility will undergo significant capital improvements starting June 2020 with an anticipated completion of November 2020. A new auditorium will also be built on the adjacent 5-acre property, with an anticipated completion in mid to late 2021. The selected consultant is expected to market and book events for this facility as well, in coordination with UF/IFAS Extension of Alachua County. Bidders are welcome to tour the facility. However, any questions must come to the Procurement Agent in writing at [email protected]. 3.2 Minimum Qualifications The awarded consultant must meet the minimum qualifications described below in order to be deemed responsive: 3.2.1 Vendors must be licensed to do business in the state of Florida. Submit a sunbiz.org report with your company registered in an active status. 3.2.2 Vendors must have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in agricultural management, equestrian management and/or event management 3.2.3 Vendors must provide at least three (3) references of clients to which it has provided agricultural management, equestrian management and/or event management services within the last four (4) years.
