U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting on a sole source basis with General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products (GDATP), 200 S Pioneer Blvd, Springboro, OH 45066 to conduct airworthiness tests required for certification for the GAU-19/B weapon system to be used on US Army Special Operations Aircraft. The proposed action will be processed as a Firm Fixed Price contract for items and services which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.1. Firms that recognize and can provide the supplies are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal; however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date IAW FAR 5.203 (a). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government.
