The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Intercomp Co., of Medina, MN to aquire (2) aircraft Weighing Systems. This portable and wireless system is currently being used on Air Force platforms and it consists of the following components: (3) 60,000 lb. Capacity Platform Scales, (3) Two Stage Ramps, (1) Axle Spacer, (3) Tire Stops, (3) 50’ Power Cables (Cart-to-Scale), (1) Transport/Storage Cart, and (1) Technical Manual. These platform scales use advanced wireless technology and provide a full range accuracy of +/- 0.1% of applied load or better. They also utilize automatic corrections to improve ease of use and accuracy through temperature compensation, auto leveling via a digital inclinometer, latitude/altitude correction, and auto calibration correction; thereby eliminating the need to perform time-consuming manual corrections. Each platform is independent with its own digital readout on the side of the platform. The AC30-60-360 is Factory Mutual Approved for use in explosive atmospheres (Class I, Division I, Groups A-D), EMI protected, skydrol resistant, and water tight. The Transport Cart is fitted with compartments for each scale and component, allowing for easy-access storage while guarding against damage during transportation. Each scale shelf within the Transport Cart is hard wired with a charging port so all scales can be charged simultaneously while in storage. The scales and components are constructed from high-strength aluminum to deliver 150% safe overload protection while keeping everything lightweight and easy to carry. All calibration is performed via a keypad, eliminating the need for a tuning potentiometer or access to internal circuitry. Overall dimensions of each platform scale: 34”L x 33.5”W x 4”H / 140 lbs.The AC30-60-360 has been rigorously tested, verified, and validated to accurately weigh the CV-22 aircraft in accordance with the requirements set forth in USAF Technical Order 1CV-22(C). It is a common support equipment item that is managed and controlled by the Air Force and the only system authorized for use with the CV-22. Firms that believe they can satisfy this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Navy in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Navy not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Navy. Responses must be received within 15 days of publication of this notice.
