Air Combat Command is seeking sponsorship to provide funding for the "Beat the Heat" 5K run, 7 August 2010 at Balad Air Base. Events like these provide our military and coalition forces activities that are morale and team-spirit builders. The event is open to US and coalition forces. Participation is expected to be 1,200 runners. Sponsorship recognition can include company logo on the event t-shirt, flyers and banners, mention on all advertisements to include website, email blasts distributed installation wide, etc. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship by a nonappropriated fund instrumentality of the US Government. It does not obligate appropriated funds of the government.
