Navy Medical East intends to negotiate a one-time sole source contract with American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), Inc. to provide Comprehensive Industrial Hygiene Laboratory (CIHL) pre-certification services. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i).

This notice will be distributed solely through the SAM.gov website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the SAM.gov website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System (NAICS) Code is 813920.

Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government it has been determined the Navy Medicine East requirement can only be provided by AIHA, Inc. as they are the sole provider for the comprehensive package.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 17 September 2021 at 3pm EST by email to Dene Slater, Contracting Officer, at [email protected]. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
