The Government intends to procure electronic access to the SciFinder databases provided by American Chemical Society/Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), NAICS: 519130, FSC: 7630, SIZE STANDARD: 500 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This synopsis is being published for informational purposes only. The proposed source is American Chemical Society/Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS). The proposed action is to acquire unlimited electronic access to the CAS SciFinder databases for the base period of 01 January 2015-31 December 2015 with an Option Year I for 01 Jan 2016 - 31 Dec 2016 and Option Year II for 01 Jan 2017 - Dec 31 2017. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Air Force. The Government will consider any responses received within 14 days of issuance of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement, and the Government does not intend to pay for any information received in response to this announcement.
