Expansion of the Afghan Air Force Shindand Air Wing Squadron, Herat Province, Afghanistan. This project consists of the management, design, material, labor, and equipment to design and construct and / or refurbish all utilities, roads, buildings, force protection measures, site security, deminining activities, and other features as referenced in the solicitation / contract package. The construction scope includes but is not limited to the site adaptation and building / supply of a transient aircraft apron, 4 arm/de-arm pads, flight simulator training facility, aerospace ground equipment storage yard, repair of the India ramp slabs, a munitions storage area, base defense operations center, fire training center, apron lighting, and all associated utility netw ork upgrades to accommodate a population of approximately 1,500 Afghan Air Force personnel.
