The 96 Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for purchase of Aerial Ignition Spheres to Aerostat, Inc, 8830 Airport Blvd, Leesburg, FL 34788-4012 - under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). Anticipated award date is 20 April 2009. This requirement is for: CLIN 0001: (318 Boxes - 1000 spheres per box) Aerial Ignition Spheres; 1.25 inches in diameter; made of high impact polystyrene plastic containing approximately 3 grams of potassium permanganate; the spheres are used in an aerial ignition sphere dispenser - to do prescribed burning. The plastic spheres need to be of the type and size to work in an unmodified Mark III Premo aerial ignition sphere dispenser. These items are to be delivered to 96 CEG/CEVSNP, Jackson Guard, 107 Highway 85 North, Building 1523, Niceville, FL 32578. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 115310, small business size standard: $7.0M dollars.
