First published Tuesday, June 17, 2014 The University awarded a contract for Advertising on the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) to Titan Outdoor Inc., Chicago, IL, for an estimated $375,000. Titan Outdoor is the only agency that does advertising on the public transit in the city. See attached exclusivity letter. No other company has the rights to provide signage and advertisements on CTA vehicles. A long term agreement will provide priority scheduling and advertising at prime CTA locations opportunities. A long term will achieve maximum advertising results and may reach the undersized population that University of Illinois at Chicago Health system serves. The term coincides with the CTA approval for Titan to be the exclusive advertising provider. The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the media is for advertising.
