ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID The Palatine Park District will receive sealed bids for: 2020 Passenger Elevator Modernization at the Community Center Bids are invited from qualified Elevator Contractors for the 2020 Passenger Elevator Modernization project at the Community Center. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: a comprehensive elevator modernization of one existing passenger elevator including replacement of the hydraulic power unit, controls, signals and fixtures, door equipment, wiring, and more. Refer to the Project Manual Specifications for the full extent of the Work that will be required. A Public Bid Opening will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Community Center at 250 East Wood Street, Palatine, IL 60067. At this time, the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after the stated time shall be disqualified and returned unopened. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee that shall be not less than 10 percent of the amount of the Base Bid. There will be a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference and Site Tour held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Community Center at 250 East Wood Street, Palatine, IL 60067. Contractors shall not pay less than the Cook County prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bidding procedure, or accept the Bid that, in its opinion, will serve the best interest of the Owner. Any such decision shall be considered final. The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a Contractor who, in the Owner's opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project.
