Notice of intent to award a sole source contract-  independent review of academic courses to assess and report accreditation recommendations to Defense Nuclear Weapons School.

Defense Threat Reduction Agency intends to negotiate a sole source contract with American Council on Education.  This is a contract for review of eight academic courses. Accreditation of joint training programs are specifically directed in the DOD CBRN Doctrine, Training, Leadership, and Education Strategic Plan.

This requirement will result in a Firm Fixed price contract.  The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 611710.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.  Interested parties have seven (7) days from the date of publication of this synopsis, to submit in writing, to the identified point of contact, clear and convincing evidence of their qualifications and/or capabilities.  Such qualifications and/or capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  A determination by the Government not to conduct this effort as a full and open competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.  All inquiries must be submitted in writing to the email address stated herein and to the attention of Denise Farris, Contract Specialist.
