The Healthcare Acquisition Activity-North intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price, sole source award to Acclarent for their Multi Angled Endoscope at Wright Patterson AFB. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for commercially available items. Only one responsible source is reasonably available due to the fact that Acclarent is the only vendor for this propietary equipment that is already in place. The procurement of the Acclarent Cyclops Multi-Angle Endoscope system will expand on the capabilities and will seamlessly expand and integrate with the existing systems, components, and equipment to allow the Wright Patterson ENT center to standardize its systems. Currently, Wright Patterson is using existing Acclarent equipment in its day to day operations. This vendor is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the only source that can furnish the requirements to the exclusion of other sources (e.g., unique features, function of the item, direct replacement parts/components for existing equipment, patent, copyright, and proprietary data). The Endoscope will be used in endoscopic sinus surgery. The Acclarent Cyclops Multi-Angle Endoscope is the only scope that affords the surgeon the ability to change angles during a procedure while inside a patient//-s sinus eliminating the need to continually change between scope sizes during a procedure. This feature provides the surgeon with better visualization in addition to reducing the time of the operation by eliminating the need to continually change scopes.The Acclarent Cyclops Multi-Angle Endoscope is a 4mm rigid endoscope that has the capability of varying direction of view from 10//- to 1000, which is altered by the direction of view dial. The direction of view is indicated by visible markings on the scope body. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339112 and the size standard is 500 Employees. All responsible sources may submit a response. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement will be based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A solicitation will not be issued.
