The City of San Marcos is requesting proposals from qualified architecture and design firms with experience and technical qualifications to prepare complete building plans for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). The City intends to purchase the building plans from up to three (3) selected firms, and make them available to the public, free of charge, as an incentive to promote construction of ADU housing that is more affordable, by design, due to the size of the units and preparation of pre-approved building plans.
