The Army Contracting Command, Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground intends to issue a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Meggitt (Orange County), Inc., 14600 Myford Road Irvine, CA 92606. NAICS Code is 334519 and Business Size standard is 500. The contractor shall provide the following:

7270A-6K P.R. Accelerometer - 65 each

7270A-20K P.R. Accelerometer - 12 each

2262A-2000 Accelerometer - 12 each

Shipping - 1 each

Vehicle instrumentation gages used to measure shock during ballistic test events. Gages required due to the increased instrumentation requirement for the Abrams Live Fire program and possible damage to the contamination of gages during testing. Please see the attachment labeled, "J&A Meggitt" for further details as to why this action is being negotiated solely with Meggit (Orange County), Inc., Cage Code: 95411.

There are no solicitation documents; however, contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, whic provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. Vendors who are not registered in System For Award Management (SAM) database prior to award will not be considered. Vendors may register with SAM by going on via the web to https://www.sam.gov. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses by the response date stated above. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
