Question: Confirmation that 40,000 readings in this time frame is required. Previous ABS ESP Gauging Surveys have averaged at 20,000 readings required with 4 technicians or two 2 person crews.
Answer: Yes, confirmation 40,000 readings for the contract award is required. Historically, for the T-AO Double Hulls 75-80% of the readings will be accomplished during the 14 Day window. If needed, the remaining readings will be accomplished in the shipyard once the ship is dry-docked. A contract modification will reflect any additional expenses to the contractor IF needed to complete the remaining work. Additionally, previous contracts have reflected 5-6 people or a couple teams.
