City of Aberdeen, MS (T-NR-E) NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Aberdeen, Mississippi will receive written sealed bids until the hour of 10:00 o’clock A.M. local time on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall 1st Floor, 125 W. Commerce Street, Aberdeen, Mississippi, 39730 for the furnishing of all labor and materials and for the construction of the certain Project designated as the “ABERDEEN MILL & OVERLAY PROGRAM – 2022 SUMMER TERM BID”, with Contract Documents and Specifications being on file at the office of the City Clerk at City Hall in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Electronic bids will be received until the specified date and time via online submission through www.cityofaberdeenmsbids.com. Bids are related to the construction of roadway related projects to include cold milling, asphalt pavement overlay, traffic striping and related improvements on public rights of way within the City of Aberdeen. Work will be provided by the contractor as directed by the Engineer for the purpose of roadway and related improvements to consist of the milling of existing asphalt roadways and the overlay of existing major thoroughfares / roadways as defined by the Owner as specified in the Contract Documents. The Project shall make provisions for all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required to provide the improvements as defined in the Proposal document and as represented in the General Conditions of Work and Technical Specifications as set forth in the Contract Documents. The total Contract Time shall not exceed 90 consecutive calendar days. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Board Room of Abedeen City Hall located on the 2nd floor at 125 W. Commerce St. in Aberdeen, Mississippi. It shall be MANDATORY for each Bidder to have a minimum of one (1) representative at this meeting in order to be eligible to submit a bid for this project. This representative shall be an Owner/Principal of the company and/or shall be the Project Manager or Project Superintendent that will be assigned to this project for each prospective bidder. Failure to meet these conditions shall prohibit the Bidder from submitting an eligible bid and, thus, such bids shall not be accepted by the Owner.
