This is a notice of intent to sole source. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 2920 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341 intends to sole source; in accordance with FAR Part 13.501(a)(1)(ii). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has the intent to award a sole source firm fixed price service contract to Abbott Molecular.

The North American Industry Classification System code is 325413. Only Abbott Molecular can provide reagents compatible with the Abbott m2000sp and m2000rt. The Abbott m2000sp/m2000rt is necessary in order to provide HIV-1 viral load and early infant diagnosis testing support, guidance, and training to field laboratories with this instrument.

No other products are compatible with the Abbott m200sp/m2000rt platform and are only available through Abbott Molecular.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist on or before 12:00 PM EST on May 30, 2017. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. All vendors/prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to an award of a federal contract.
