The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is requesting information to determine the availability of interested parties to provide; 1) complete generation of transgenic mice by microinjection of DNA constructs; 2) provide conventional gene targeting services including ES cell electroporation and microinjection using targeting vectors; and 3) provide mouse maintenance, husbandry, health surveillance and assisted reproductive technologies as requested by NIEHS investigators. The contractor shall have an approved animal welfare assurance statement on file with the NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW). Accreditation of the facilities and program by the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care, International (AAALAC) is required.
For estimating purposes the Government anticipates a cost reimbursement completion type award with a period of performance of one base year and four one year options.
