The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced Noncommercial contract to the University of Tennessee to provide services to synthesize and purify 20 hydroxyvitamin D3 (20(OH) (D3). The services will be performed at the Department of Veterans Affairs, 1030 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN, 38104. The period of performance is from August 1, 2013 through July 31, 2014 with a two (2) year option period. A sole source procurement will be issued to the University of Tennessee because they are the only vendor capable providing services to synthesize and purify 20 hydroxyvitamin D3 (20(OH) (D3).This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 541711 for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 12:00 EST, August 8, 2013 to: [email protected]. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
