The DOC, National Marine Fisheries Service, Manchester Field Station in Port Orchard, WA requires support for a NOAA NWFSC-led experiment to determine the benefits and risks of steelhead supplementation efforts in Hood Canal, WA. Tasks include providing biological data, biological samples and written documents for parr and smolt collections, redd surveys, redd marketing and egg collections, hydraulic sampling, putting data in electronic spreadsheets and obtaining necessary permits. The biological sample and data collection on the Skokomish River may only be performed by the Skokomish Tribe as the River flows through the Skokomish Tribal Reservation. Therefore it is NOAAââ¬â¢s intention to award this contract on a sole source basis to the Skokomish Indian Tribal Center. The period of performance is through August 31, 2006. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated dollar value not to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold.
