This special notice is to notify all interested parties that the United States Air Force Research Laboratory, Space Vehicle Directorate, Space Based Infrared Technology Branch (AFRL/VSSS), anticipates releasing a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for research and development related to radiation hardened space focal plane arrays (FPAs) on or about 17 February 2004. The goal of this future program entitled (define acronym) âSTEVIEâ will be to develop high performance, high functionality, visible imaging sensor chip assemblies (SCAs). Features of these SCAs include large format, fast framing capability, windowing capability, and on-chip analog to digital (A/D) conversion.
