The National Naval Medical Center, Acquisition Management Department on behalf of the Naval Medical Research Center/Malaria Program intends to award a Sole Source procurement to BIOCON, Rockville, MD to immunize rabbits and custom generating polyclonal serum for the production of antibodies against porcine lymphocytes (PALS). This unique reagent is not commercially available. The process of generating this reagent involves the use of Freund’s Adjuvant. For reagent consistency, it’s essential that additional reagent to be used in our studies be prepared in the identical fashion as the prior reagent, which has undergone extensive in vitro and in vivo testing.
