The Naval Supply Information Systems Command (NAVSISA), and the Naval Inventory Contro Point (NAVICP-M) intend to purchase PLASMON VDO G S eries Library. NAVSISA’s new and continued use of the share drive for archival storage, development, collaboration, and true sharing are driving utilization upward and straining capicity and performance. Much of the data on the share drive is infrequently used, but still a requirement. NAVSISA requires hardware to support an archiving system that a roll lesser used files to a true data archive.The Government intends to acquire this commercial service using Simplified Acquistion Procedures under Far Part 13.
