The U.S. Army intends to go Sole Source to Thermo Fisher Scientific, 5074 ListDrive, Colorado Springs, CO 80919 for a Neutron Generator to serve as a sourcefor radiographic inspection of munitions. A neutron generator is an electronicdevice which produces neutrons from the fusion of deuterium and tritium. Incontact to a radioactive source, it only produces neutrons when powered onwhich reduces security and accidental exposure liabilities. The type ofprocurement Instrument contemplated is a Firm- Fixed Price Contract.
