The NAVY EXPERIMENTAL DIVING UNIT, Panama City, FL. Intends to procure via Simplified Acquisition Procedures: Sole Source to The Curley Team of Gales Ferry, CT. for continuation of services in support of Navy-funded efforts to automate diving neuropsychological assessments and be required to review protocols and reports, quarterly interim progress reports required by sponsors. Contractor shall give oral and multi-media briefings to sponsors, customers and managers and plans, coordination and moderation of technical meeting, technical reports, scientific articles and presentations. Other task shall include but not limited to: Establish consensus acceptance criteria (validity and reliability) and procedures for evaluation of same, for automated tests. Assess quality and magnitude of existing NP data for other military and commercial populations. Recommend actions to solve problems associated with field neuropsychological assessment of divers. Provide cost-benefit analyses with options for proceeding with Year 3 field-testing. Letter Reports on: Results of review on past U.S. Navy efforts to automate NP tests, and strategy with specific recommendations to overcome obstacles to field assessment of US Navy divers.
