The US Army Contraction Command, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA, has a requirement in support of US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (ARIEM), as it intends to award sole source service contract to develop a mouse exertional heat stroke protocol that combines forced wheel running with heat stress. This collaborative project will support the development of an exertional heat stroke model in mice to study mechanisms mediating multi-organ damage and to support the identification of novel biomarkers and pharmacologic targets that mediate the adverse consequences of heat stroke. This contract will be awarded on a sole source basis to the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL 32611.
