NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Max Participation. MAX is being used by the EarthObserving Systems for network traffic connectivity throughout the world. MAX Participation for the period of November 1, 2010 - October 31,2011 shall be inaccordance with the terms and condition of the MAX Participation Agreement betweenMid-Atlantic Crossroads and NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, for the following:-Full connectivity to Internet 2, other Federal Network such as DREN, ESNet and all otherMAX peering networks;-A high route 10 Gigabits per second (Gbps) connection to the MAX networks;- A low rate 1 Gbps redundant connect;-Maintenance for our1 and 10 Gbps interfaces.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from The University of Maryland pursuant to FAR13.106 for the acquisition of supplies or services determine to be reasonably from onesource.The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note26.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities statement to perform the effort inwriting to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time on July29, 2010. Such statements will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determiningwhether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
