The Missile Defense Agency intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Tadiran Electronic Systems, Ltd. located in Holon, Israel on or about January 1, 2008 for Israeli Test Bed (ITB) enhancements, operation & maintenance, and experiments. This contract will have a 1-year base period of performance with four one-year option periods and an approximate value of $25,000,000. The contract cost will be shared on a 64/36 percent basis between the US Government and the Government of Israel. This is a follow on effort to the US Army Space & Missile Defense Command contract# DASG60-97-C-0032 with Tadiran. Tadiran is presently providing system enhancements, operation & maintenance and experimentation services for the ITB. Under this effort, Tadiran will provide follow-on enhancement and upgrade services to the ITB in support of the missile defense efforts of the two governments. Tadiran is the only known source for the services and experiments described. Award will be made pursuant to 10 U.S. C. 2304 (c)(1), only one responsible source.
