This microarray order is for gene expression analysis of samples derived from an Interferon-Alpha Treatment Study of HCV infected individual conducted in collaboration with Emory University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The major side-effects experienced during this treatment mimic Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. We shall be using these microarrays to evaluate functional genomic responses to Interferon-alpha treatment and compare these to the gene expression profiles of subjects with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2.
