NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (NASA/AFRC) intends to negotiate additional support to Airborne Systems of North America, located at 3701 W Warner Ave Santa Ana, CA, 92704-5218 to perform Aero-Mechanical System Study with Load limiting study for 5,000 lbs. + Retrieval. Under the current awarded contract NND16AA45P, Heavy-Lift Mid-Air Retrieval Feasibility Study. The contractor shall deliver a written report that addresses each of the requirements and presentation that summarizes the results of the study.
The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. Pacific time on August 12, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
