NASA/GSFC has a requirement for services in deriving the NOx signal produced bylightning from the NO2 data column amount data collected by the OMI instrument on NASA'sAura satellite. The work involves extracting this signal for specified case studyevents. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from SRI International, pursuant to FAR 13.106for the acquisition of supplies or services determine to be reasonably available from onesource. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities statement to perform the effortin writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time onNovember 26, 2010. Such statements will be evaluated solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
