The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Special Operations Acquisition and Logistics Center (SOAL), Directorate of Procurement (KB), has a requirement to extend the existing contract USZA22-00-D-0003 for sustaining engineering services in support of the Directional Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) system, AN/AAQ-24. The period of performance of this contract with Northrop Grumman Corporation, Rolling Meadows Division currently ends 30 September 2005. This modification will extend the performance period until 31 December 2006, to coincide with operational tests of current upgrades, at no change in the contract value. Northrop Grumman is the original equipment manufactureer of the DIRCM. Due to proprietary data and security requirements, this additional time will be achieved with a sole source modification to the existing contract with Northrop Grumman Electronic Sensors & Systems, Rolling Meadows, IL.Note 22
