The Department of Defense (DoD) announces the availability of the Development of Quantum Computing Algorithms Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). This BAA is open to institutions of higher education (universities),including DoD institutions of higher education and foreign universities, non-profit institutions, and commercial entities. This BAA seeks research that develops new quantum computing algorithms for hard computational problems, develops insight into the power of quantum computation, and considers issues of quantum complexity and computability.

The BAA will contain additional information along with instructions for proposal preparation and submission. White Papers must be submitted electronically to [email protected] no later than 4:00 p.m. Local Time in North Carolina (NC) on Tuesday, 20 March 2012. Full proposals must be submitted by 4:00 Local Time in NC on Tuesday, 8 May 2012. The BAA is available for viewing at the following address: http://www.arl.army.mil/www/default.cfm?page=8
