The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to award a Sole Source purchase contract to Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in order to fulfill needs for research and development of currency authentication and counterfeit deterrence technologies. This contract will provide the means to continue an existing initiative carried out over the last five years through government contract with Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL).
