Fifteen days after publication of this notice, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) intends to issue a purchase order to Dr. David O. Patterson for consulting services under proposal entitled, “Consulting Services to DARPA/MTO.” Dr. Patterson will advise DARPA/MTO and other government agencies on issues related to DARPA/MTO activities, particularly semiconductor and lighography technologies. Dr. David O. Patterson is uniquely qualified in providing extensive experience in research and development related to fabrication of components for Microsystems. Dr. Patterson’s management of projects, funded under the DARPA Advanced Lithography Program, have provided the definitive developments for most of the technologies added to the industry’s International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS). This order shall be for an amount less than $100,000 and the research to be provided shall take place within a period of twelve months after issuance of the purchase order.
