The U.S. Army, Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command - Picatinny intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Instron Corporation, Norwood, MA, under the approved authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is for a Floor Mounted Testing System, installation and debugging software, and training of use. This action is in the best interest of the government and will allow for the same supplier, with unique knowledge, of previously installed systems. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon any responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
