SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS -

The vessel dimensions shall be 32 ID and 48 long; upper operating temperature shall be 700F; the vessel shall be rated for 200 psi max; the vessel shall be capable of maintaining 0.5oF/min heat up; a control system shall be included in the purchase of the autoclave; the autoclave shall include a computer interface installed with AvPro software; the autoclave shall include a vacuum pump; the autoclave shall include a vacuum rack with a minimum of three separate vacuum lines; the autoclave shall include ports for a minimum of 12 thermocouples; the equipment foot print shall not exceed 9 ft. in length and 6 ft. in width (5 ft. width is preferred) - (length does not include required space for door opening/back plate removal) and The quoted price shall include: (1) start up and training, (2) on-site installation, and (3) freight costs.

NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from McGill AirPressure LLC; 1779 Refugee Road, Columbus, Ohio 43207 as they are the authorized dealer to meet all the specifications required for the Autoclave.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 31, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
