Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC), managing contractor of the Savannah River Site (SRS) for the Department of Energy near Aiken, South Carolina, is soliciting expressions of interest from companies wishing to license or enter into a Funds-In Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) to further develop the Apparatus for Filling and Crimp Sealing a Vial with a Gaseous Sample. Scientists at the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) have developed a device that allows a gas sample to be collected and sealed into a standard commercial, off-the-shelf (COS) headspace vial under field conditions. Once the gas sample is collected and sealed into a COS headspace vial, the sample can be economically transported by air or overland transport to the analysis laboratory. Any company interested in licensing this device or participating in a Funds-In CRADA must respond with a letter of interest (may be submitted by email) no later than 30 days from the publication date of this Notice summarizing the companyââ¬â¢s business and technical expertise and motivation for pursuing this opportunity. Qualified companies will be provided with further information on the technology. Questions and expressions of interest may be addressed to John H. Olschon, telephone (803) 725-8125; fax: (803) 725-4988; email:
[email protected] or address: Westinghouse Savannah River Company, Building 773-41A, Room #276, Aiken, SC 29808. This is not a procurement; it is a request for parties interested in a Funds-In CRADA opportunity only.
