Fifteen days after publication of this notice, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) intends to issue a purchase order to Apollo Diamond, Inc., for the purchase of single crystal diamond samples to be used in the Diamond Characterization and Development (DCaD) program. Apollo Diamond, Inc., is unique in that they possess a patented CVD process and have successfully grown facetable laboratory-created diamonds. This order shall be for an amount less than $100,000 and the research to be provided shall take place within a period of nine months after issuance of the purchase order.
