The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, intends to issue a sole source procurement to United Technologies Fuel Cells, 195 Governor’s Highway, South Windsor, CT 06074 for technical validation of a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell advanced non-silicone interfacial seal system. UTC is the sole developer and inventor of the advanced non-silicone molded seal system which is to be evaluated and as such has sole proprietary rights in its design. This contract requires that UTC validate their advanced seal design in several engineering steps. This procurement is intended is to verify the effectiveness of new non-silicone seal technologies to enable longer life PEM fuel cell systems. This shall be a Firm Fixed price contract. Estimated award date is July 11, 2005. All interested offerors may submit a quote. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered.
