THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY!!! The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL intends to solicit and award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Sole Source contract to Cleveland Medical Devices, Inc. (CleveMed), 11000 Cedar Avenue, Suite 130, Cleveland, OH 44106, phone (216) 791-6720. The requirement consists of continuing the development and optimization of a state-of-the-art miniature data acquisition and telemetry system that can be non-intrusively mounted on inventory aircraft or weapons without any permanent modifications to the test item. Equipment and services obtained under this contract will be modifications and enhancements to proprietary designs and prototype hardware and software developed by CleveMed for the Advanced Subminiature Telemetry System (ASMT) under prior Small Business Innovative Research contracts. The ASMT instrumentation system makes maximum use of modern commercial wireless design methods and technologies and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components rather than more traditional telemetry design approaches to reduce size and cost, to ensure availability of critical components, and to maximize spectral efficiency. CleveMed is the only contractor that has the background and proprietary software and hardware rights to complete development of the ASMT system without substantial duplication of effort and significant additional cost. The end goals for this contract are to improve and convert the existing prototype hardware and software to an operational system suitable for supporting a variety of flight test applications.
