47 – Heavy Duty sandblast hose. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the purchase of heavy duty sandblast hose (Titan and URFLEX brand or equal) and is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written quotation WILL NOT be issued. This announcement is issued as request for quotation N00102-03-Q-0669. The standard NAICS classification is 326220. This acquisition is reserved for small business. This quotation incorporates provisions and clauses effective through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-12 with changes effective January 24, 2003. The DFARS is current as of February 14, 2003 and inclusive of DCN20030214 (cases 2002-D031, 2002-D034, 2002-D042 and technical amendments) effective February 14, 2003. The required Vacuum hoses shall be Item 0001: Titan 6” Transfer Hose SW409 6” X 100 feet, Qty; 8 lengths. Item 0002: Titan 6” transfer hose SW409 6” X 50 feet, Qty; 8 lengths. Item 0003: URFLEX #1 6” Vacuum Hose (6” X 100 feet lengths) Heavy duty sandblast hose, QTY 22 lengths. If quoting an equivalent brand product, a sample must be provided with the quotation. The sample shall be tested inside a tank for durability under actual sandblast conditions; the sample hose will be subject to sandblast grit both inside and outside the hose. The sample shall be 6” in diameter and shall be 100 feet long. Quotations received for an equivalent brand product without the required sample shall not be considered. Samples are not required for quotations for Titan item 0001/0002 or URFLEX brand hose item 0003. Pricing shall be FOB Destination (Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH).
