THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR 18650 REDESIGN FOR THE EMU LIB issued on 07/20/2007. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the response date to August 1, 2007, as well as adress the following question: Q. Could you please provide the suggested manufacturer(s) and or part numbers of the 18650 cells referenced in the solicitation? A. Pursuant FAR 11.105 NASA can not specify a brand name. The vendor should quote the cell design they think will best meet the requirements given. FAR part 11.105 - Items peculiar to one manufacturer, states that: Agency requirements shall not be written so as to require a particular brand name, product, or a feature of a product, peculiar to one manufacturer, thereby precluding consideration of a product manufactured by another company The due date for receipt of offers is extended to 08/01/2007. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on 07/20/2007.
