Wilderness Trip Planning Modules for the World Wide Web - Development and Maintenance.The Sierra Nevada Wilderness Education Project and Sequoia and Inyo National Forest are participating in a web-based trip-planning module project, which will allow users interested in visiting Sierra Wilderness areas to gain more information and more adequately plan their excursion before leaving home. The modules consist of interactive web-based maps that allow users to link to detailed information about the Wilderness area and its characteristics, including access, restriction and trailhead information. We are hoping to establish a 5-year maintenance and development contract.
