THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements" to Reson, Inc., 100 Frederic Lopez Road, Goleta, CA 93117 for upgrading the multibeam echosounder currently in use on a USACE survey vessel. The upgraded echosounder will utilize the existing sonar head without any modifications. The purchase order will also include introductory training on installation and use.

An award to any other source would require the replacement of the existing sonar head ($100k value), and would not provide any cost savings to the Government.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for proposals.
